You are looking for a much scenic, slightly easier and less crowded route to Everest Base Camp Trek. The Gokyo Late Trek offers you a dramatic view of the northwest face of Mt. Everest including other massive mountains. The Gokyo valley, one of Nepal’s most beautiful valleys, is located west of the more well-known Khumbu Himalayan region.
Your Everest Base Camp Trip via Gokyo Lake starts with a 30-35 minutes short Mountain flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. After two days, you reach Namche Bazaar, acclimatize and rest. You get a chance to explore the Sherpa villages of the Khumjung region, their lifestyle, culture and beliefs.
From here, the trail climbs steadily into Mong La Pass before descending sharply to the Dudh Koshi River’s banks. The trail then passes through rhododendron and oak woodlands, as well as ice waterfalls. After a few hours on this magical trail, you’ll arrive in Dole, where you’ll spend the night in a teahouse. The Cho La pass, which leads on to the Khumbu valley at Lobuche, is the most visited of the two high passes that lead out of the Gokyo valley; the other is Renjo La pass, which connects the trail between Thame and Nangpa La pass. Following the Everest trek path as far as Phortse, one chooses the alternative departure route.
Get with the Himalayan forests, birds and animals, trails, gorges, valleys, rivers, frozen lakes, glaciers, cliffs and mountains views which make you feel outstanding, energetic and give heavenly pleasure.
