Yala Peak Climbing

Yala Peak Climbing is one of the easiest and most popular trekking peaks in Nepal. Yala Peak is the nearest peak from Kathmandu, and it takes to Langtang Region – once forbidden land. In addition, the true adventures, astonishing views of pristine mountains (Ganesh Himal range, Manaslu Mountain Range and other various peaks), unspoiled trails, rich natural flora and fauna make your expedition a life-time experience.

Yala Peak Climbing, you get a chance to observe 700 years old monastery – Kyanjin Gompa. Also, the breathtaking views of the incredible mountain ranges such as Annapurna – II, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu Himal, and Langtang Lirung (7,246m/ 23,773ft), Dorje Lakpa (6,990m/ 22,933ft), Gangchempo (6,388m/ 20,985ft) and Sishapangma (8,027m/ 26,335ft) on the Tibet side will steal your heart. After you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will welcome you and drive to our luxury hotel/guesthouse and assist you to check-in. So, look for someone holding a placard with your name or our company’s name – Let’s Go Hiking – waiting for you.

On this day, you simply take a rest at Hotel/Guesthouse overnight and restore your energy to accomplish your upcoming adventurous trip.

In the evening, our company arranges a short introduction meeting. You will meet your guide, and our trekking expert will provide you with all the detailed information about the trek.

After breakfast, you start sightseeing tours to the world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley. You visit Pashupatinath Temple (the holiest Hindu Temple on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River), Boudhanath Stupa (the biggest Buddhist Stupa architecture in the world), Patan Durbar Square. You also go to Swayambhunath Stupa – the 2000 years old legendary stupa on the hilltop also nick-named as monkey temple. Finally, we come to Kathmandu Durbar Square; observe Kumari Temple (living goddess temple), Nautale Durbar, the Kaal Bhairav, the Swet Bhairav, the freak streets and more.

Your tour ends today. You have dinner and take a rest restoring energy for the upcoming adventure.

Our journey starts early in the morning, after a delicious breakfast. We drive you passing Balaju in our private jeep/van and then follow the path of Kakani, Trisuli Bazar and Betrawati. Finally, we reach Dhunche. To reach Dhunche, it takes 8-9 hours on drive. We drive through the dense woodland, pastoral villages, terraced fields and narrow ridges. No worries! The off-road trails offer you pristine green scenery, outstanding landscapes, incredible mountain ranges and snow-capped mountains including Mt. Annapurna II, Ganesh Himal, Mt. Manaslu, Langtang Lirung, and a few other peaks.

Overnight, we stay at Dhunche, enjoy delicious meals and take restore our energy.

We eat breakfast early in the morning and set out on our first day’s trip from Dhunche. We stroll for a few minutes down the highway before arriving in the settlement of Thulo Barkhu. We steadily ascend from here, passing through dense woodland until we reach Barble. The ride from Barble is pleasant, with breathtaking views of Ganesh Himal. We climb up the hill after a few hours of walking and end the day’s adventure in Thulo Syabru.

We stay in Thulo Syabru for the night.

Today, our trek starts from Syabrubesi. Initially, we climb the ridge and cross Ghopcha Khola. Further, we pass through the trails along the Langtang River, alpine/rhododendron forests, farmland and rocky ridges.  While walking through the forest, you feel a peaceful atmosphere and find green scenery. Even we may encounter endangered red panda, musk deer, snow leopard, monkeys and many other animals.

Our final ascend steeply takes us to Changtang which is well-known as Lama Hotel. We enjoy a spectacular view of streams, panoramic landscapes and spectacular mountain ranges.

Overnight, we stay at Lama Hotel and rest.

We take warm breakfast Lama Hotel and start trekking towards Langtang village. We pass through dense bamboo, rhododendron and oak forests, and arrive at Gumanchowk (Riverside) alongside Langtang River. Further, we go up towards Ghora Tabela crossing the rhododendron/oak forest. Through the woods, you can see the sparkling glimpse of Langtang Lirung (7,244m).

We continue our trek passing through the small villages –  Thangshyap, Champki and Gumba. Finally, we reach Langtang village. Overnight, we take shelter here.

 

Early in the morning, we take a delicate breakfast and leave Langtang village for Kyanjin Gompa. At first, we climb the ridge topped by Chorten and Mani walls. Further, we cross a few streams and climb up gradually. We pass by several yak-herding villages such as Mundu, Sindum and Yampha.

Finally, we reach the majestic Kyanjin Gompa encircled by enchanting peaks – Langtang Lirung, Kyanjin Ri, Tserko Ri and Naya Kangri.

Overnight, we stay here at Kyanjin and rest.

Today is acclimatization and exploration day at Kyanjin. After early morning breakfast, we hike to Tserko Ri peak. When we reach the peak, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the all-inclusive landscapes of Langtang valley and shining peaks: Langtang Lirung, Yangsa Tenji, Langtang range, and a few other peaks. You enjoy the best views from Kyanjin Ri (4,850m/16,005ft) and Tserko Ri (5,000/16,500ft) as they are the best viewpoints of Kyanjin.

Also, we visit the traditional Yak cheese factory and sacred Kyanjin Gompa. If you feel keen to explore more as well as time/climate allows, we trek to other few peaks.

Overnight, we stay at a Guesthouse at Kyanjin Gompa.

We descend for a few minutes from Kyanjin, pass the Langtang River suspension bridge, and rise through a dense rhododendron woodland and green meadow. We arrive at the level stretch of the Nyengang Yak Pasture while taking in the breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung (7,234m), Langtang glacier, streams, massive peaks, and snow-capped mountains. There is no tea house or lodging up above Kyanjin Gompa, therefore, we must spend the night in a tent. Our porters and guides pitch the tent and prepare wonderful meals for the day. We spend the night at the camp.

Today, we climb up to Yala Base Camp trekking alongside the beautiful Langtang River. Few hours trek takes us to Langshisa pasture and we ascend through the boulder trail and reach Yala Base Camp.

We set up a camp and stay here overnight. Your guides will teach you about peak climbing and how to use the gears properly and stay safe.

Today, your ultimate dream comes true. After early breakfast, we start our expedition. From Yala Base Camp, we ascend stepping on the icy rocks and trails. Be careful of hallows, crevasses, steep rocks and slippery ridges. We need ropes, axes, and crampons to go to the summit.

The last ascent to the peak is difficult and steep, requires the use of a ladder to reach the summit (5,732m/18,804ft). When you reach Island Peak, celebrate your victory; capture the low countryside, towering peaks, and tranquil surroundings. Enjoy the glittering view of Langtang Lirung Himal, Dorje Lakpa Himal, Shispangma, Gangchempo, Naya Kanga Peak, and few other peaks standing on the top of Yala Peak.

After spending some time at the top, we retrace back to Base Camp. Further, we descend to Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight, we stay at Kyanjin Gompa.

Today, we retrace back to Lama Hotel after taking an early breakfast. From Kyanjin Gompa, we descend along the Langtang River enjoying the outstanding glimpse of snow-capped summits.

We retrace the same way back to Langtang valley and Ghora Tabela after a few hours of trekking. We descend from Ghora Tabela to Gumanchowk and then to Lama Hotel through an easy trail. Stay at Lama Hotel for the night.

Today, our trek descends to Bamboo village after a morning meal at Lama Hotel. We pass through deep rhododendron, alpine, and oak forest. We continue our trek crossing streams and suspension bridges to reach the Tamang and Sherpa settlement of Thulo Syabru – we can enjoy breathtaking views of the Langtang Himal and Ganesh Himal ranges.

Further, we go down to Syabrubesi and stay overnight here.

Today, we return to Kathmandu after an early breakfast, passing via tiny hills and dusty roads, deep forests, traditional villages, and terraced agriculture. The trip allows us to take in the quiet setting, rich green vegetation, and picturesque mountain ranges. We arrive in Kathmandu in the afternoon after a 7-8-hour trip. Today, you may relax and check your bags for tomorrow’s departure, or enjoy the evening or nightlife in the capital.
