Flying between giant mountains, you land at Lukla airport – one of the most dangerous airports in the world. After you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will welcome you and drive to our luxury hotel/guesthouse and assist you to check-in. So, look for someone holding a placard with your name or our company’s name – Let’s Go Treks – waiting for you.

On this day, you simply take a rest at Hotel/Guesthouse overnight and restore your energy to accomplish your upcoming adventurous trip.

In the evening, our company arranges a short introduction meeting. You will meet your guide, and our trekking expert will provide you with all the detailed information about the trek.

Today, your actual adventurous trip to Everest Base Camp begins here.

We take an early morning 30-40 minutes flight of Kathmandu-Lukla. As the place plane passes between towering mountains, the flight offers you the thrilling experience of the turbulence and serene picturesque of the Himalayan range. Finally, you land at Lukla airport – the gateway to the Everest Region. How would you feel landing on the airport with just a single runway on a cliff?

Lukla airport is one of the most dangerous airports in the world. You will get surprised.

At Lukla, you get to rest for some time, meet your local porters and arrange the bag-packs.

From Lukla, after submitting your Trekking Permit Card at the Lukla checkpoint, your footsteps step towards Phakding – a Sherpa village renowned for the 500 years old monastery.  You follow the trails down to Thalsaroa, and then to Cheplung, the trail traces along Dudh Koshi valley enjoying the introductory view of Mt. Khumbila (5,761m/18901ft). Continuing your pace for a few hours, you reach Ghat (2,520m/8,350ft). Further a short walk from Ghat, we reach Phakding – today’s destination. Enjoy the best hotel, hygienic cuisine, and friendly hospitality with superb service at Phakding.

Today, we trek from Phakding to Namche – the largest tourism hub in the Everest region.

We begin passing through the dense fir, alpine, and rhododendron forest along Dudh Koshi River and ascends to Benkar. From Benkar, we pass through dense forest and cross suspension bridges which take us to Chhumuwa and Monjo.

At Monjo, you must register your trekking permit at the check-post, and then trek inside the Sagarmatha National Park. You feel completely enthusiastic about the wonderful environment of the park. Also, you may encounter wild animals and several species of vegetation. Watch them out!

Ahead, we cross the Tenzing-Hillary suspension bridge over Dudh-Koshi River, ascend via the pine and fir forest to the ridge.

On the trail toward the ridge, we have the first glimpse of Mt. Everest.  Enjoy it.

Continue your uphill pace for a couple of hours; finally, you arrive in Namche. Enjoy the rest of your time at Namche – standard lodging and modern facilities like ATMs, internet, cyber cafes, pubs, restaurants and so on.

Today, take your early breakfast and be ready for a short trek to Everest View Hotel and other Sherpa settlements in the Khumjung valley. You see Mt. Everest standing along with other peaks in front of you.

Start your short journey to the Everest View Hotel, one of the world’s highest hotels. Having a tea or coffee, you will be capturing the magnificent views of Mt. Everest (8,848m), Mt. Khumbila (5,761m), Mt. Thamserku (6,623m), Lhotse (8,516m), and Ama Dablam (6,812m). This is a lifetime memory.

If you are physically fit, you can continue climbing uphill to Khumjung and Kunde villages. However, the trekkers having slightly less stamina can return at Namche from Everest View Hotel.

In the Khumjung village, visit Khumjung Gompa and Khumjung Hillary school (established by Sir Edmund Hillary in 1961). Then, you descend Kunde which is well-known for ‘Hillary Hospital’: the largest hospital of the Khumjung region established in 1966.

On foot, the journey from Kunde to Namche comes at the Syangboche airport. The airstrip is a non-commercial airfield with an unpaved, short runway that is exclusively used by helicopters to transport hikers who become ill, injured, or require special attention. From the runway, take in the breathtaking landscape of Namche village. The trail leads to Zarok and then to Namche along a zigzag gravel path.

At Namche, if you have time, enjoy Sherpa culture and traditions, modern facilities, Tibetan artifacts, homemade Yak cheese and butter, and heart-warming hospitality. Get refreshed, relax and restore your energy.

On this day, we leave Namche and follow the trails down to the Dudh Koshi River, then retrace our steps to Monjo and Cheplung via the Sagarmatha National Park pathways. You will never forget the excitement of crossing a suspension bridge, walking through deep alpine and rhododendron woods, and hiking along rocky terrain.

From Cheplung, we climb for more than half an hour and reach Lukla. In the evening, participate in the farewell ceremony; thank your hard-working and ever-smiling porters. Also, give yourself a total rest.

On this second last day of your trek, we fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla. Restore your memories in the plane flying between giant mountains.  After landing at TIA, you will be taken to your hotel.
